In this double degree, you will be able to combine:

• Bachelor of Applied Finance:  With the skills you'll gain in this course the ability to help organisations create value, invest wisely and control risk you'll find yourself in demand across the globe.
• Bachelor of Economics: This course will provide you with a sound understanding of today's complex economic environment. You'll learn about how modern economies operate, the role of prices and markets in allocating resources, how economies trade and grow, and economic modelling.

• Double degrees fast-track your study – you usually complete double degrees one or even two years faster than you would be undertaking both degrees on their own. This not only saves you time but money as well.
• You can tailor this course to your needs and interests by studying traditional areas such as econometrics, finance, trade and development, or units from other areas such as languages, philosophy, politics or sociology.
• An emphasis on applied economic skills provided by the study of econometrics will allow you to meet the expectations of major employers, such as commercial and investment banks, economic consultancies, state and federal departments, and the Reserve Bank of Australia.
• Units apply current theory and analytical techniques to real-world finance industry situations.

To apply for an undergraduate program, international students will need to have completed one or more of the following academic qualifications:

• A recognised senior secondary school qualification or university entrance examination
• A recognised university Foundation course
• A recognised 2 or 3-year Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree
• At least one year of a university degree from a recognised institution
