AU09 Bachelor of Environment (Environmental Geoscience) Macquarie University
Environmental geoscience is concerned with the interaction between the earth and human activity, and provides a solid background in environmental aspects of earth sciences. It encompasses the evolution of the planet and the development of the atmosphere and its surface processes, with an emphasis on natural and man-made developments of the terrestrial and marine environment.
This major will prepare you to tackle the biggest environmental issues of today and tomorrow, including the next mining boom. You’ll also develop an in-depth knowledge of the role of geoscience in a global society, and of how to employ field-based techniques and models to describe, interpret and predict geological and environmental relationships. Your ability to analyse and discuss the latest theories and controversies in geoscience will give you the flexibility to adapt to changing opportunities in the field.
