The study of race, gender and diversity seeks to understand problems of identity-related discrimination and inequality for individuals and communities, as well as ways in which difference and diversity can positively transform society, culture and economics.
This major combines perspectives from anthropology, history, Indigenous studies, law, media and cultural studies, philosophy, politics and sociology. You’ll develop sought-after workplace skills including a range of analytical techniques, critical thinking, problem-solving, and written and spoken communication, which you’ll apply to real-life identity, diversity and inclusion issues. You’ll also identify opportunities for improvement and plan future professional development through independent learning and self-reflection.
