AU09 Master of Applied Economics - Master of International Trade and Commerce Law Macquarie University

  • THÔNG TIN CHUNG

Macquarie has always considered our students to be co-creators in their learning. One of the most exciting developments in our new curriculum is around your ability to study two degrees at once.

In this double degree, you will be able to combine:

    • Master of Applied Economics:  This course has been carefully designed to provide students with state-of-the-art applied economics knowledge and skills that can be applied to these areas and many more. This innovative course also has two distinctive features: the importance placed on context and the application of theory to the solution of real world problems; and the opportunity for you to undertake interdisciplinary studies, which recognises that applied economists work in increasingly varied and diverse fields that cross traditional discipline boundaries.
    • Master of International Trade and Commerce Law: In this course, you'll extend your knowledge of the legal, governance and policy issues relevant to international and domestic trade and commerce so that you develop a broad and well-rounded understanding of the area, as well as skills to advance your career.

    Key Features

    • Double degrees fast-track your study – you usually complete double degrees one or even two years faster than you would be undertaking both degrees on their own. This not only saves you time but money as well.
    • This course has a strong global focus that ensures you’re ready to take the next step in your career – wherever that may be.
    • You’ll hone your research skills on the real-world challenges faced by economists and critically evaluate established knowledge in applied economics to examine relevant issues.
    • You'll apply sophisticated legal research skills to the resolution of specific legal problems and to the formulation and articulation of international law and policy reform and corresponding application in domestic law.
    • Opportunities will be available for you to carry out independent research and self-directed learning so that you develop new and creative ideas and solutions to contemporary problems in the areas of international trade and commercial law.
