In this double degree, you will be able to combine:

• Master of Intelligence:  This course will equip you with a practical skill set, enabling you to analyse real-world intelligence challenges. You'll also develop a deep understanding of the evolution of Australia's intelligence community, as well as the emerging domestic, regional and international challenges that surround intelligence.
• Master of International Relations: Through engagement with innovative approaches and thinking, this course will empower you to comprehend and evaluate contemporary regional and global developments, and will equip you for an international career in diplomacy, journalism, the NGO sector, international business or academia.

• Double degrees fast-track your study – you usually complete double degrees one or even two years faster than you would be undertaking both degrees on their own. This not only saves you time but money as well.
• Our Department of Security Studies and Criminology has established strong ties with government and non-government partners in the field of intelligence, ensuring this course is not only theoretically grounded but also highly practical.
• Simulated learning which reproduces the multidisciplinary expert panels that are employed by government and industry in response to intelligence and security issues will enable you to develop your technical skills.
• You may be eligible to undertake an internship in an approved institution.You'll undertake a research component under specialised individual supervision.
• You'll develop key skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, research and writing, and oral communication.

• AQF level 8 bachelor honours or graduate diploma qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent, or
• Meet two of the following three criteria:
  • AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent
  • Minimum two years relevant approved work experience at senior management level, professional certification or other recognised prior learning
  • AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent with a WAM of 65
