    The Master of Project Management is a forward thinking, interdisciplinary course that integrates the knowledge needed to manage projects and programs across multiple sectors. The course focuses on developing specialist expertise in organising the project function utilising a diverse vocational skill set. It encourages an evidentiary and interdisciplinary approach to critical thinking and problem solving, strengthened by a capacity to undertake research. You will choose from a range of discipline-specific electives (covering IT, Business, Engineering and Law) and have the opportunity to work on real-life projects where theory and practice are applied to problems situated in local and international, corporate, government and social contexts. Where will a career in project management take you? As a graduate you will be strongly placed to provide strategic project leadership in a wide range of settings, such as business delivery, IT developments, engineering solutions, in both the corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors.

    The degree is tailored for flexibility and caters to your previous experience, with the option to study part-time or full-time. You can focus on one discipline or select from a range of discipline-specific regulation-orientated electives in the areas of: banking and financial services; sustainability and the environment; employment and human resources; global enterprise; artificial intelligence and new technologies; and ethics and risk management. You also have the opportunity to apply your knowledge practically through an international study tour or corporate project.

    Entry level 1 - 2 years

    • An Australian undergraduate degree with at least 60% average, or a qualification deemed by the Faculty to be a satisfactory equivalent and a minimum of 6 months relevant professional experience.

    Entry level 2 - 1.5 years

    • An Australian undergraduate degree (any discipline) plus an Australian Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Project Management, or qualification deemed by the Faculty to be a satisfactory equivalent and a minimum of 6 months relevant professional experience; OR
    • An Australian undergraduate degree in Project Management with at least 60% average, or qualification deemed by the Faculty to be a satisfactory equivalent and a minimum of 6 months relevant professional experience; OR
    • An Australian undergraduate honours degree in any discipline with at least 60% average, and a minimum of 6 months relevant professional experience.

    Entry level 3 - 1 year

    • An Australian undergraduate honours degree in Project Management with a research thesis consisting of at least 37.5% of a one year full time load and with at least a 60% average, or qualification deemed by the Faculty to be a satisfactory equivalent and a minimum of 6 months relevant professional experience.
