Students will be able to select from a broad range of commerce majors while gaining core competencies in psychology theory and practice. This will be particularly beneficial to commerce students wanting to develop advanced skills like being able to analyse and predict client behaviour in the financial services sector, through applying psychological and social science models. This broader knowledge and skill set will enhance career options in accounting, financial planning, finance or economics.

The Bachelor of Psychological Science offers several courses relevant to organisational practice, including counselling skills, coaching and group facilitation, occupational psychology, and organisational psychology. Graduates will also develop the ability to apply research methods and analytical tools to examine local, national, and international commercial issues.

PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION

The Bachelor of Psychological Science is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).

Professional recognition will vary depending upon your choice of major and the courses you have completed.

• Financial Planning: Graduates will be eligible for admission to the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Australia's CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Certification Program.
• Finance: The Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) has been accepted into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. This status is granted to institutions whose degree program incorporates at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK), which provide students with a solid grounding in the CBOK and positions them well to site for the CFA exams
