AU24 Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) Griffith University
The Honours year consists of supervised research and coursework available to suitably qualified graduates of Griffith University and other recognised tertiary institutions.
This program enables students to advance the knowledge and experience acquired at the undergraduate level and prepares them to undertake research work for continued postgraduate studies in this and other universities. It also provides first level training for those wishing to practice as psychologists in Australia.
PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
The Bachelor of Psychological Science is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).
Applicants must have successfully completed all the studies required for the award of a Bachelor degree which includes a three-year sequence in Psychology accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council.
To be eligible to apply for admission to the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), students who have completed Bachelor of Psychological Science (1012) or Bachelor of Psychological Science (1312) must meet the following criteria:
Applicants should note that the above criteria represent the minimum requirements. Students in the Bachelor of Psychological Science should note that progression to Honours is competitive and will be determined by order of academic merit and is subject to available supervisory resources.
Applicants from universities other than Griffith will be assessed using those courses completed by the applicant that most closely approximate those listed in criteria 2 and 3 above.
Applicants who fail to meet one or more of the above criteria will be deemed ineligible for entry to the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours).
