AU24 Master of Clinical Psychology Griffith University
This degree will prepare you for a career as a Clinical Psychologist. You will learn how to undertake psychological assessments, develop case conceptualisations, implement and evaluate interventions, apply research methodologies and engage in ethical professional practice.
The program has been designed to meet the requirements for eligibility for full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and entry to the Registrar program for the area of practice endorsement in clinical psychology. Completion of the degree also meets the requirements for associate membership of the Australian Psychological Society's College of Clinical Psychologists.
Provisional Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
It is a requirement that students enrolled in this program have and maintain either provisional or full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for the duration of the program.
PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
The Master of Clinical Psychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).
You will be prepared for work in government organisations such as Queensland Health and in child and youth mental health services, education services, corrections, health psychology as well as non-government agencies, private hospitals and general practitioner practices. In addition the training in clinical psychology also prepares graduates for entering private practice.
You may seek to further your qualifications by enrolling in a higher degree by research in order to follow a research-related career path.
