AU25 Bachelor of Business (Management) Queensland University of Technology
Management is a key activity in organisations of all kinds, being fundamental to organisational performance and success.
In a world where organisations are being disrupted and expectations of work and professional practice are changing, we will develop your skills in entrepreneurial thinking and strategic decision making. You will be able to manage teams, risk, projects and operations in changing environments.
The role of the manager in innovating, collaborating, planning and implementing the efficient and effective use of organisational resources is the focus of this major, whether that is in new entrepreneurial ventures or established organisations.
The management major has an eight unit structure and offers streams in management or entrepreneurship.
Real-world learning
In addition to the internship unit, Workplace learning, you will have the opportunity to participate in programs that provide valuable learning experiences beyond the classroom: hackathons, negotiation competitions, start-up weekends, pitch practice, innovation challenges, international case competitions, blogging and real-world collaborations with others from industry, other disciplines and government.
Management graduates work across all industry sectors and in all types of organisations. Some graduates found, own and manage their own new entrepreneurial start-up ventures, while others gain experience with established public and private employers. Graduates are in diverse roles such as founder, procurements, projects, accounts, business development, operations, systems, team leadership, administration, consulting, asset management and client partnerships amongst many more.
