Comparative law explores the different legal systems that endure across the globe. It’s about examining these diverse families in order to understand, improve and sometimes reconcile their differences.
This innovative degree is offered by the Adelaide Law School and the University of Mannheim’s Faculty of Law in Germany.
Our Master of Comparative Laws is conducted entirely in English. However, if you’re proficient in German you may choose to study in that language at Mannheim. You will:
- spend up to one semester in Adelaide and one at Mannheim
- study the different systems of law throughout the world—from common and civil to Islamic law
- understand the European Union's legal framework in detail
- undertake a dissertation at your ‘home’ institution.
