This is a specialised foundation level course that is aimed primarily at taxation graduates who are seeking qualifications or continuing their professional development.

It can also benefit corporate accountants and financial planners and advisors who require specialist taxation qualifications, as well as members of the legal profession who are seeking a specialist taxation qualification.

In this course you will study the Income Tax Assessment Act and associated acts and regulations. You will learn how these acts and regulations apply to income tax returns. You can also choose from a wide range of specialist taxation topics to support your current and future career needs.

This is the first stage of Curtin's modular taxation course. The next stages are the graduate diploma and Master of Taxation.

A bachelor degree or equivalent in business or another relevant background, or at least 3 years' relevant work experience.
