AU38 Bachelor of Arts (Human Geography and Planning) The University of Western Australia

  • THÔNG TIN CHUNG

Studying UWA's Bachelor of Arts lets you cultivate your passions while developing the transferable skills that employers need and an Arts degree provides.

Transferable skills are sometimes referred to as 'people skills' because they're about personal attributes that are essential in every industry. Importantly, these skills can never be automated, ensuring you’ll be ready and well equipped for work.

    Human Geography and Planning

Human geography and planning are the essential disciplines for understanding the complexities of cities and regions and guiding their sustainable development. This major explores the complex interplay of environmental, economic, social and political processes shaping human activities at a range of scales, from global to local. To flourish, human and urban development must grapple with ecological sustainability, cultural diversity, changing demographic pressures, disasters and global markets. It is envisaged that there will be up to three overnight field trips (with a cost of up to $500 per student, to cover the cost of food and accommodation for around 10 nights). Studying this major provides you with the foundation to pursue further study leading to full recognition as a professional planner through the Master of Urban and Regional Planning or the Master of International Development.
