Heritage Studies is a cross-disciplinary strategic research area at UWA providing increased research opportunities and capabilities for its students. You will be taught first-hand by international experts, have the option of gaining heritage experience in various parts of the world, take part in heritage study tours and undertake professional heritage work placements. Western Australia is heritage-rich, with 50,000+ years of tangible Indigenous heritage and vibrant intangible heritage traditions. This course is taught through the Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Education, and the School of Indigenous Studies.
There are many career opportunities for graduates with expertise in heritage studies both in Australia and internationally. Your career could include roles in government, industry, non-governmental, mining companies, community organisations and tourism operators, adding diversity to your career.
