NZ02 Master of Business Analytics The University of Auckland
This practice-focused programme will equip you to interrogate business challenges and then source, manipulate and analyse data to address issues and inform organisational strategies.
You will also develop a strong portfolio of professional skills that will enable you to communicate effectively to a non-technical audience through the use of data visualisation tools and storytelling.
Your chosen specialisation will provide the opportunity for you to develop and apply analytical techniques and engage in an industry-based project that will provide experience in responding to the challenges of working in a live business context with real data.
The programme will launch in 2021 with the Marketing specialisation. The specialisation in Supply Chain Management will not be offered to students entering the programme in 2021.
Also available: Postgraduate Certificate in Business Analytics (PGCertBusAn). The PGCertBusAn is an alternative pathway for graduates who are initially uncertain about committing to a masters programme, and for those who do not achieve the required GPA for direct entry to the MBusAn.
You must have completed an undergraduate degree in business or a non-business degree in a relevant discipline such as arts, engineering, technology, or science. Your study must be from a recognised university (or similar institution), and you will need a GPE of 5.0 in the most advanced courses taken. In addition, you must have passed an undergraduate level course in business statistics (STATS 108) or equivalent.
If you have completed advanced course(s) in an undergraduate degree that are considered substantially similar to courses in this programme you will be required to complete substitute course(s). Advice will be provided to you on a case-by-case basis
