International Management deals with business activities that span the globe, across countries and cultures. New Zealand businesses must learn how to operate in countries that have very different laws, economic systems, technology and cultural values to our own.

In this short course, you will learn about the barriers and opportunities facing New Zealand exporters, the key strategies that companies use to enter international markets such as Asia, Europe and the Pacific, managing international alliances and networks, the challenges of cross-cultural communication, and the benefits of using digital e-commerce technologies.

It can provide a springboard to launch an exciting new career n the commercial sector, particularly in exporting, international management, finance, tourism, and government departments such as New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

International Management may be right for you if you're adventurous, business minded, enjoy overseas travel, and have good communication and language skills; or are willing to learn a language.

Applicants must have:

a) completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification; OR

b) be able to demonstrate they have adequate training, experience, and ability to proceed with the programme.

Applicants who do not meet these requirements may still be considered for special admission, subject to completing some additional qualifying papers.
