UK108 LLM International Commercial Law Anglia Ruskin University
You’re curious, determined, and ready to go global with your career. You want to know how laws relating to international commercial practice are created and enforced, and put your new knowledge into practice as a legal practitioner.
As a postgraduate International Commercial Law student at ARU, you’ll advance your knowledge of fundamental themes such as commercial contracts, transnational commercial law and international commercial arbitration.
You’ll gain a unique insight into how the grammar of law was shaped that you can take all over the world after graduation.
There’s also the chance to find out more about comparative company law with our optional module. And you’ll sharpen your research skills and put them to use on your Major Project, which is a brilliant opportunity to explore an area of international commercial law you’re passionate about.
Location is everything. Our Law School is based in the heart of Cambridge’s legal quarter, halfway between the Crown Court and the County Court. You’ll have access to Cambridge’s Squire Law Library, and the chance to practice your law skills and help members of the public by volunteering at our Law Clinic.
Our small seminar groups will give you opportunities to really engage with the course material, share your interests and goals, and form close friendships with your fellow students.
You’ll receive support and advice from our dedicated, expert staff, all of whom are distinguished in the field of commercial law with experience working in, researching, and writing about the subject.
By studying LLM International Commercial Law, you’ll advance your logical reasoning, critical analysis, and independent judgement skills, empowering you to critically appraise how international laws are created and enforced, and apply legal discourse to the regulation of transnational business and commerce.
On our LLM International Commercial Law course, you’ll develop a range of professional skills including logical reasoning, critical analysis, research, and independent judgement, all of which are in high demand from employers around the world.
You’ll also gain an understanding of the complex interplay between infrastructure, content, competition, social policy, punishment and trade in the international arena, and a greater capacity for legal communication.
You could go on to work as a legal practitioner, or conduct academic research, at the highest level. You might also find a role in the legal department of an international corporation, a government department, or another international agency.
You can boost your employability while you study by volunteering at our Law Clinic, as well as taking advantage of law-focussed careers events.
Graduation doesn’t have to be the end of your time with us. You could choose to continue your academic career with a research programme at ARU, such as our PhD Law. Take advantage of our Alumni Scholarship and save £400 on your fees.
