UK108 LLM International Law Anglia Ruskin University
When it comes to your career, the sky’s the limit. You want to take your legal know-how to the next level and go global.
As a postgraduate International Law student at ARU, you’ll learn the key principles of private and public international law, and develop an understanding of how transnational commercial, political and social interactions are regulated.
Our optional modules give you the opportunity to specialise in aspects of international law you’re particularly interested in. For example, you could develop your expertise in Globalisation and World Trade, International Commercial Arbitration, Comparative Company Law or Digital Economy.
You’ll further tailor your degree to your interests with your Major Project, which is a brilliant opportunity for you to find out more about an area of international law you’re passionate about.
Location is everything. Our Law School is based in the heart of Cambridge’s legal quarter, halfway between the Crown Court and the County Court. You’ll have access to Cambridge’s Squire Law Library, and the chance to practice your law skills and help members of the public by volunteering at our Law Clinic.
Our small seminar groups will give you opportunities to really engage with the course material, share your interests and goals, and form close friendships with your fellow students.
You’ll receive support and advice from our dedicated, expert staff, all of whom are distinguished in the field of international law with experience working in, researching, and writing about the subject.
By studying LLM International Law, you’ll learn how to critically appraise how laws are created and enforced, advancing your logical reasoning, critical analysis, research, and independent judgement skills – all of which are valued by employers the world over.
On our LLM International Law course, you’ll develop a range of in-demand professional skills including logical reasoning, critical analysis, research, and independent judgement.
You’ll also gain an understanding of the complex interplay between infrastructure, content, competition, social policy, punishment and trade in the international arena, and a greater capacity for legal communication.
You’ll therefore be well-prepared for international practice and academic research at the highest level as well as a range of other intellectually demanding roles, such as working for international NGOs and other agencies, or public service.
You can boost your employability while you study by volunteering at our Law Clinic, as well as taking advantage of law-focussed careers events.
Graduation doesn’t have to be the end of your time with us. You could choose to continue your academic career with a research programme at ARU, such as our PhD Law. Take advantage of our Alumni Scholarship and save £400 on your fees.
